Group-wise Posts in Indian Railway-
There are four groups in Indian Railway, Group A, Group B, Group C & Group D.
Group A Posts-
Group A posts are highest rank posts in Indian Railway. The recruitment process for these posts has done through Combined Service Examination. All these examinations have conducted by UPSC.
Group B posts-
The Railway doesn’t conduct any recruitment for Group B posts. The candidates who have served on Group C posts are promoted to Group B posts as per their experience and qualification.
Group C Posts-
Under this group, there are two types of posts i.e. Technical and Non-Technical. The process of Recruitment for these posts has done by Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) and Railway Zones.
Group D Posts-

Indian Railway Jobs Eligibility Criteria
